悠然人生

最近在104上看有哪些有趣的職位，還真的蠻令我驚訝的，因為不論是金融業或財會業，冒出來的職缺都是加拿大的好幾倍。

不過，有一點讓我很不舒服，我手上一張台灣的證照都沒有！！

我很不尬意輸的感覺，所以要是我回去，一年考個五張好了，就當作是平日沒事幹時的消遣娛樂。真討厭這種被人壓一頭的感覺，太不舒服了。

這幾天另外一件讓我感到困擾的事，是應該訂何時的機票。目前的票價大約是$1,500 CAD左右，到了8/20會降到$1,300 CAD。以我愛猶豫的個性，最好是6/26考完馬上買，買上飛，省得整天想太多。可是呢，過兩個禮拜有一個我很想去聽的講座，要是你們有興趣，也可以一起來。

當然，我想以各位對我的瞭解，反正我去聽完後，回來肯定會寫一大篇心得報告，去的incentive大概會減少很多（大笑）。更何況，那還是要花錢的。

這是一個CFA辦的講座，請了S&P的人來講全球各國主權債務的問題。詳情如下：

ABSTRACT
Two senior members of the global sovereign ratings practice of Standard & Poor’s will provide an overview of factors and forces shaping sovereign credit quality worldwide.  Prepared remarks will address a range of topics relating to sovereign credit trends, including:

Europe:                Prospects for stabilization
US:                       How important is the role of the US$?
Canada:               Can it remain above the fray?
East Asia:             Lessons for other regions

This will be an interactive session providing participants with opportunities for questions and discussion relating to the 126 sovereign governments currently rated worldwide by Standard & Poor’s.

BIO
John Chambers is a managing director at Standard & Poor’s, Credit Market Services division.  Since 1997, he has been the deputy head of Standard & Poor’s Sovereign Ratings Group.  In 2005, he was named chairman of the group’s sovereign rating committee.  This committee, which consists of senior sovereign analysts, sets and changes ratings for the 125 central governments rated by Standard & Poor’s as well as for a score of multilateral and sub regional development banks.  John also led Standard & Poor’s efforts in expanding its rating among Latin American financial institutions.  He is a chartered financial analyst.  He has his Masters of Arts from Columbia University and his Bachelor of Arts from Grinnell College.

Frank Gill joined Standard & Poor’s in April 2007 as a Director in the European Sovereign Ratings Group.  Previously, he worked at Fortress, a New York based hedge fund, where he worked as a global macro strategist from an FX and rates trading perspective.  His direct analytical responsibilities at Standard & Poor’s include Russia, Ukraine, among others.  His work on Russia dates back before the 1993 financial crisis.  Frank holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Economics from the London School of Economics and an M.I.M. from the American Graduate School of International Management.

其實CFA常常會辦這種活動，只是我不見得都會去，因為這些都是要花$$的。但我不得不說，它們請的演講者都很不錯，上次我去聽了一場有關於投資心理學的講座，實在是獲益良多，不曉得台灣的CFA會不會辦這樣的活動呢？

Anyway，今天我良心發現（其實是時間不夠），決定要開始讀書了。然後，還得把我的英文自傳給寫出來，那不曉得得寫上多久...

讀四天挑戰一張證照，我又忍不住興奮起來了！！真是太好玩了！！
